Who We Are

Triumph was created with a heartfelt intention and mission to help others by a Refugee from West Africa, Abu Kamara. After more than 10+ years of working in the medical field, he realized there was a true need for proper training facilities that not only meet the standards set by organizations like The American Heart Association but exceed them.  

 

His passion for helping those learn and grow in their professional skills, stems from his experience as a refugee, working in this country striving for the “American Dream”. He believes that a lack of access to knowledge is what holds people back from success. If we bridge that gap, we will allow others the opportunities to learn and grow together as a thriving community.

Pre-Covid, Abu also traveled to Sierra Leone many times to volunteer and conducted trainings, sharing these important lifesaving skills with professionals and community members.  

 

Although he doesn’t travel as much anymore the mission stays the same and his efforts continue to help our direct community here in the DC, Maryland, and Virginia areas.  

 

With the addition of two other businesses that flow with Triumph like a well-seasoned orchestra, he created a home for people to access trainings, learn skills that will propel them in their careers, provide competitive employment opportunities where qualified candidates can earn not just a paycheck but a living wage, and helps local facilities and families hire screened and qualified professionals.
